7 月 5 日，据 2022 国际数学家大会（ICM）官方消息，2022 年菲尔兹奖在芬兰赫尔辛基阿尔托大学正式揭晓。

菲尔兹奖被认为是年轻数学家的最高荣誉，和阿贝尔奖均被称为数学界的诺贝尔奖。清华大学教授丘成桐于 1982 年成为首位菲尔兹奖华人得主。

今年，共有 4 位青年数学家获得此项殊荣。他们分别是：1.瑞士日内瓦大学/法国高等科学研究所教授 Hugo Duminil-Copin

获奖理由：表彰其解决统计物理学中相变概率理论中长期存在的问题，尤其在三维和四维方面。

for solving longstanding problems in the probabilistic theory of phase transitions in statistical physics, especially in dimensions three and four.

2.美国普林斯顿高等研究院 June Huh

获奖理由：表彰其将霍奇理论的思想引入组合学，证明了几何格（geometric lattice）的 Dowling–Wilson 猜想，以及拟阵的 Heron–Rota–Welsh 猜想，发展了洛伦兹多项式，证明了强梅森猜想。

for bringing the ideas of Hodge theory to combinatorics,the proof of the Dowling-Wilson conjecture for geometriclattices,the proof of the Heron-Rota-Welsh conjecture for matroids,the development of the theory of Lorentzian polynomials,and the proof of the strong Mason conjecture.

3.英国牛津大学教授 James Maynard

获奖理由：表彰其对解析数论的贡献，在理解素数的结构和丢番图近似方面取得了重大进展。

for contriibutions to analytic numbertheory,which have led to major advances in the understanding of the structure of prime numbers and in Diophantine approximation.

4.瑞士洛桑联邦理工学院教授 Maryna Viazovska

获奖理由：表彰其证明 E8 格在 8 维中提供了相同球体的最密集堆积法，并对傅立叶分析中的相关极值问题和插值问题作出了进一步的贡献。

for the proof that the E8 lattice provides the densest packing of identical spheres in 8 dimensions, and further contributions to related extremal problems and interpolation problems in fourier analysis.

菲尔兹奖以加拿大数学家约翰·查尔斯·菲尔兹（John Charles Fields）的名字命名，每四年评选出 2-4 名有卓越贡献且年龄不超过 40 岁的数学家，获奖者须在该年元旦前未满 40 岁。
